Resistance Fighter's Story
I’m a resistance fighter™

Combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR)

Antimicrobial Resistance is a growing global problem. In the Sub-Sahara African region, the cases are likely to be very high due to lack of awareness, poor water, sanitation and hygiene practices. As a researcher focusing on Antibiotic Resistance, I have pledged to be a resistance fighter by engaging in Antimicrobial Stewardship activities and leading a coalition of vibrant young professionals in compliance with the “One Health” approach as suggested in the Global Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance. Our aim is creating awareness and educating the masses through effective evidence-based education on AMR prevention and control as well as conducting research to enhance AMR surveillance. I am poised to keep promulgating Antimicrobial Stewardship locally and globally. Because all of us need to be resistance fighters.
