Combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR)
I am a specialist in clinical respiratory diseases.
Antibiotics are used not only in medical science, but also in agriculture, animal husbandry, and aquaculture. AMR should be treated as a social problem. This is not only related to clinical practice, but also to agriculture, animal husbandry, and aquaculture.
In China, we have started to take action. Under the guidance of the state, we have proposed some actions designed to address AMR. In 2016, the G20 has taken the problem of AMR to a national strategic level. This problem requires the efforts of all departments.
