Combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR)
Combating AMR through mentorship, training, research and collaboration. As a biomedical scientist and as a Ph.D. candidate in microbiology, my career and my research are focused on serving as a resistance fighter. I leverage my experience in the phenotypic identification of bacteria to play a key role in AMR surveillance. I also mentor and train new laboratory scientists in the area of bacteriology, and I lead workshops and seminars to educate future generations of physicians on the best practice use of antibiotics. I am open to challenges, conversations and the exchange of ideas, so we can all put our heads together to fight antibiotics resistance. Because all of us need to be resistance fighters.
