Antimicrobial resistance can be combated with the proper use of antibiotics and effective use of infection control. If you work in the prevention of device-associated infections, surgical site infections or the spread of multiresistant germs such as KPC, you are decreasing the consumption of broad-spectrum antibiotics and resistance to antimicrobials.
