Resistance Fighter's Story
I’m a resistance fighter

Combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR)

My main drive is testing and surveillance for antimicrobial resistance. Quality data is important for diagnostic stewardship. By improving how we present the laboratory data, we can improve clinician engagement and increase specimen submissions to the laboratory. By providing more timely results and data, we can support the behavioral change of using laboratory data to optimize management critical patients, like those with neonatal sepsis. I think we are on the way and making progress. We have seen minds changing and increased requests for clinical data. The clinical data being generated is also being used for guidelines and policies at the national level. Because all of us need to be resistance fighters.
