Combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR)

I am a specialist in clinical infectious disease. For more than ten years, the development of strong drug resistance and the production of few new effective drugs used to treat these drug-resistant bacteria has caused surgeons who deal with infections have a difficult decision in treating drug-resistant infections. In last five years, some new antibiotics have been put on the market around the world and we have more weapons to cope with drug resistance. Antibiotics, no matter whether they are old or new, should be used rationally to slow down the occurrence of drug resistance. For our future and for our children, take action to cherish antibiotics and control AMR from now on! As far as we can, let more people know about the problem of AMR, especially children and adolescents. Antibiotics are life-saving drugs. Use them right! Use them well!
