Combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR)
I’m a pharmacist who has been working in this field of antimicrobial stewardship for quite a while. As a professor of pharmacy and global health at the University of Washington, I complete research and teach on the safety and use of medicines and vaccines in low- and middle-income countries. My interest is to gain a better understanding of the scope of the problem globally and to use this information to effectively recommend strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance. I’m a glass half full person. I see the opportunity to implement and follow through on effective strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance. Because all of us need to be resistance fighters.
