Combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR)
As President of AMEIN, I know that we have a great challenge in our country. It is critical to have experts in Infection Control who work with a multidisciplinary approach. Our role as preventionists is to implement strategic programs that control and reduce the risk of acquiring an IAAS for AMR. We also need to have public policies, industries, organizations, health systems, committed governments and patients involved in this problem. Everyone will need to contribute at a significant level to combat this challenge. Because all of us need to be resistance fighters.
